I've been listening to Esoteric for about 9 years now, his solo stuff and his albums with 7L, his DJ partner. I love everything he's/they've ever put out. For starters, though, I'd recommend "Eso Vs. Japan," which is kind of a concept album like SSR but a bit different (The album heavily samples Japanese anime-type stuff, but you certainly don't have to be into stuff like that to enjoy the album.). It was easily the best album I heard in 2008, and I also recommend "The Soul Purpose," which is a more traditional hip-hop album & a personal fav of mine.
